It has been an exciting few days at the JBay Winterfest, with all sorts of action happening in and around the town of Jeffreys Bay. After a scintillating start to the JBay Open surfing event, focus shifted to all the other activities that make up the Winterfest.
First up was the VW Rally, an adrenalin-fuelled high action evening on the streets of Jeffreys Bay, forming the first leg of the two-day rally. Highlights included the Monster Drift Truck in action, thrilling the crowds.
The Sector9 Poker Run was a alternative skate event that took place on Friday evening, with stoked skaters cruising the streets of JBay, picking up cards, and chasing the best hand. Tristan Bellingham was the eventual winner of this fun event.
The Jolly Dolphin was the rocking venue of the Music Festival last night, with A-King and Van Coke Cartel jamming to a packed audience. DJ Naaldekoker was on the late decks, and the place was packed. Tonight will see PHFat and Jack Parow performing, which will no doubt see another capacity crowd in attendance at the Jolly Dolphin.
The second round of the JBay Open is currently underway, in good offshore conditions at Supertubes. Live Webcast
