The JBay Loggers Classic had another excellent day down at Lower Point with some great surfing going down. It has been a remarkable run of surf in the JBay area that just doesn’t seem to be slowing down, and competitors were greeted by perfect three to four foot waves for the second day of competition.
In the women’s division it was former WSL world champ Rachael Tilly (USA) as well as Lucy Small (AUS) who were stand-outs.
In the men’s pro division, solid surfing performances came from the likes of Ludi Du Toit, Tristan Lev, Michael Hill and Erik Knutson (HAW) who are all through to the quarterfinals. Men’s amateur division saw Lyell Watson, Chris Heath, Greg Smith, George Bunting and Carel Olivier all win their round three heats and will also be in the quarterfinals. The JBay Loggers Classic will conclude tomorrow.
